After reading my artist’s statement in which I touch on the philosophical notion that the moment is infinitely small and baiscally immearurable period of time, a visitor to my booth asked me if one keeps dividing a moment in half is there a point in which one can no longer divide the time in half. I responded that one would never be able to stop dividing which is why the experienced moment is infinitely small. He retorted something about Plank’s Constant, an idea in quantum physics as I understand it which places limits on both phisicality and time in its smallest increments. I agreed that once one measures time, no matter how small the increment being measured, one places limits upon that time thereby removing it from the continuum of experience. The visitor simply walked away.
