Documenting our Landscape

Several people that visited my booth at the Deerfield Festival of Fine Art asked rhetorically, “You sure travel a lot!” even when half of what I bring to the show are local landscapes or are images created in my studio. I like to point out that travel is something that landscape photographers take for granted. I also like to point to all of the local landscapes, those shots of Illinois and the Midwest that are an important part of my work.
